Bandipur National Park has Kabini river in the north and the Moyar in the south. The Nugu river runs through the park. The highest point in the park is on a hill called Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta which is a must visit place.The primary sightings and photographic opportunity are-Tigers, Sloth bears, Leopards, Elephants, Wild Dogs, Indian Jackals, Indian Gaur, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Barking Deer, Malabar Giant SquirrelsBandipur is home to over 200 species of birds. Most commonly sighted birds are honey buzzard, red-headed vulture, Indian vulture, Jungle owlet, Indian roller, brown fish owl, crested serpent eagle, changeable hawk-eagle, osprey, as well as many species of woodpeckers, bee-eater are a common sight.
